STACEY’S STORY
“My name is Stacey McDaniel and I am one of the owners of ForeverLawn Puget Sound.
On May 8, 2024, my life changed when I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Non-Hodgkin’s B-Cell Lymphoma. Like so many people facing cancer, I was overwhelmed by uncertainty and fear. A family member encouraged us to seek care at Fred Hutch and from the moment we arrived, we felt something different.”
“At Fred Hutch, my family and I were not just patients. We were seen, heard, and prioritized. I was immediately surrounded by a dedicated physician and care team who treated me not as a diagnosis, but as a person whose life mattered.
I began chemotherapy on June 11, 2024. Living in the Inland Northwest, I traveled to Seattle every 21 days for treatment. The miles were long, the days were hard, and the process was exhausting. Over six sessions, I received four different chemotherapy treatments. Through every visit, every question, and every difficult moment, I felt supported, protected, and cared for by my care team at Fred Hutch.”
“Today, in January 2026, with the support and care from Fred Hutch, I am officially in cancer remission. I will continue to be monitored under my care team’s plan for the next five years and there is profound peace in knowing that if anything changes, Fred Hutch will already be there, watching closely, ready to act, never losing sight of me.”
