Two Systems. One Goal: Better Performance for Every Athlete
SportsGrass® stands apart with both Product-Based and Infill-Based systems. Two solutions, one purpose: safer, better performance for athletes
Infill Based
Infill-Based System (Old Technology) – SportsGrass Rush, Rush XP, Rush Pro
Primary Component: Infill is the core performance driver
Infill Requirement: 3–9 lbs of rubber/sand
Total Product Weight: Less than 90 oz
Backing System: Light, less durable
Ballast: Infill-heavy design requires ballast
Thatch Layer: Typically low or not included
Initial Cost: Lower upfront cost
Long-Term Cost: Increased maintenance and upkeep expenses
Infill Visibility: Infill sits higher on the blade
VS
Product Based
Primary Component: Grass fibers are the core performance driver
Infill Requirement: Minimal — less than 2 lbs of rubber or up to 5 lbs sand/rubber blend
Total Product Weight: Greater than 90 oz
Backing System: Thick, premium, multi-layered (3-layer foundation)
Ballast: Not required — built into design
Thatch Layer: Required, adds stability and protects fibers
Initial Cost: Higher upfront investment
Long-Term Cost: Better long-term value — reduced maintenance, extended product life
Infill Visibility: Less visible at surface
